What did I do this week?
First, I spent the weekend at FOSDEM – a lot happened, I have a schedule and thoughts to share, but I'll be doing so in a blog post! (or forgetting) Keep an eye out, remember it's a separate RSS feed ;]
What did I do otherwise (before FOSDEM)?
I watched Titane. It was quite a strange film, but there are some bits and scenes that stick in my memory. Overall would watch.
I showed my krindle to a few people, both at FOSDEM and at home. I have promised to jailbreak a couple of kindles for friends if they find some (from their Aunt, from eBay, etc).
I organised a couch surf in Paris, using https://bewelcome.org/, a free (and libre?) couch surfing website. We stay there next week :]
I packed for a 2 week trip in Europe. I did my packing the morning of the train – gaining some groans from people – but it was perfectly fine. Usually, I pack based on a picture of "what I packed last time" so it's hard to forget any standard stuff ^.^
picky bits
- I set up a new Debian physical server
- I played Keyforge
- I got into London 32 minutes late (bring on delay repay)
- I've been getting lots of trains (soon they'll be on https://alifeee.net/europe-trips/ ;)
- I published a font (I made it a couple of years ago but it was a private GitHub repository)
- I sent an email to someone with a neat website
- I dealt with some amount of hackspace admin
- I had a hackspace directors meeting (I'm writing this note instead of typing up the minutes...)
- I got a couple Hull chip spice bottles for gifts for my hosts in Europe
- I confirmed an upcoming talk at a meetup in Sheffield
- I think I fixed Radarr not downloading non-English films
I've been getting updates about https://github.com/sheffieldhackspace/train-signs, a project that I started that has been continued by someone else, to great success. They've got a really improved refresh rate and have added a nice HTTP API for controlling the sign :]
I led my final Blood on the Clocktower games. Final really meaning "final of the series", as I ran it every Monday for 5 weeks. I like a repeated event like that – probably why I keep organising regular proximity chat playthroughs ;]
That's all for this week!
until next time
